The Queen Bee

The Queen Bee is Alcantara's allegorical tribute to Mother Nature and the feminine figure. It gathers portrait, flower, veil, diamond, and maternal symbol into one visual language.

The archive now presents the paintings as one evolving universe. It is ready to grow with formal titles, dimensions, techniques, and individual artwork records in the next phase.

Biography

Painting between memory, nature, and portrait.

Ramon Alcantara was born in June 1960 in San Juan de la Maguana. He began painting in 1972 at the age of twelve and later studied color theory at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo.

Alongside his artistic practice, he pursued computer engineering and managed a computer center, maintaining drawing and portraiture as a constant discipline.

After twelve years in New York, he moved to Reading, Pennsylvania, where he found the professional space to complete the body of paintings now organized around The Queen Bee.
